BRILL MEDIA CONSULTING, LLC
PRIVACY POLICY

Last Updated: October 31, 2026

1. Scope and Overview

Brill Media Consulting, LLC (“Brill Media,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an advertising, marketing, media buying, and consulting business. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, retain, and disclose personal information through our websites (including brillmedia.co), landing pages, forms, business communications, marketing and business-development activities, and recruiting activities, if applicable.

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information Brill Media processes for its own business purposes. It does not govern personal information we process solely on behalf of a client under a separate agreement. In those circumstances, the client’s privacy notice and our agreement with that client govern the processing of that personal information.

“Personal information” has the meaning given by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (the “CCPA”), and includes online, advertising, pseudonymous, and hashed identifiers when reasonably linkable to a consumer or household.

2. Personal Information Collected

We collect personal information in connection with our websites, services, business relationships, marketing activities and other business operations. The categories of personal information we collect depend on how individuals interact with us.

The following table identifies the categories of personal information we collect, the business or commercial purposes for which we use that information and the categories of recipients to whom we disclose it for business purposes. The table describes our practices during the preceding 12 months and our current practices.

Proprietary CRM and Website Tracking

We use a proprietary customer relationship management (“CRM”) system and website tracker to record website activity, maintain contact records and support marketing attribution.

The tracker may assign visitors a unique identifier, record pages viewed, retain referring URLs and advertising click identifiers, and associate earlier and subsequent browsing activity with a contact record when a visitor submits a form.

We also use CRM information to manage leads, appointments, client relationships and conversion reporting. Identifiers and browsing records may constitute personal information even when they do not initially identify a visitor by name.

We use or plan to use conversion APIs and manual uploads to provide customer identifiers and conversion information to advertising platforms, including Meta and Google, to match conversions to advertising activity, evaluate lead quality and improve advertising performance. Depending on the platform and reporting method, this information may include hashed email addresses and telephone numbers, advertising click and browser identifiers, customer or lead identifiers and conversion-event information. These disclosures may constitute sharing of personal information as described in Section 6.

Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Technologies

We may use cookies, pixels, tags, scripts and similar technologies to operate and secure our websites; remember visitor preferences; associate website interactions with contact records; measure website and campaign performance; conduct attribution and advertising; retarget visitors or create audiences where enabled; and improve our websites and services.

These technologies may collect or receive identifiers, IP addresses, browser and device information, pages viewed, referring URLs, event information, advertising interactions, click identifiers and related website activity.

Brill Media may use the following third-party analytics, tag-management and advertising platforms:

We may combine information obtained from these sources with information collected through our websites, forms, CRM, advertising activities and business communications.

4. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information for the business and commercial purposes identified in Section 2. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by applicable law before using personal information for materially different or incompatible purposes.

5. How We Disclose Personal Information for Business Purposes

We may disclose personal information to service providers, contractors and other recipients for the business purposes described in Section 2. The categories of personal information disclosed and the corresponding categories of recipients are identified in the table in Section 2.

We maintain contractual restrictions governing our service providers’ and contractors’ use, retention and disclosure of personal information consistent with applicable law.

6. Selling or Sharing Personal Information

Under the CCPA, “selling” includes disclosing personal information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration, while “sharing” means disclosing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, whether or not monetary consideration is exchanged. Brill Media does not sell personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration. However, we share certain categories of personal information identified below with third-party advertising and analytics platforms for cross-context behavioral advertising, including for the business or commercial purposes of targeted advertising, audience creation, retargeting, campaign measurement and conversion attribution.

The following table identifies the categories of personal information we share and the corresponding categories of third parties. The table describes our practices during the preceding 12 months and our current practices.

7. Sensitive Personal Information

Under the CCPA, sensitive personal information includes certain types of information that require additional privacy protections, such as:

  • Government identification information, including Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, state identification card numbers and passport numbers;

  • Account access information, including account login credentials or financial account and payment card numbers combined with passwords, security codes or other information that permits access to an account;

  • Precise geolocation, such as GPS data identifying an individual’s specific physical location;

  • Sensitive personal characteristics, including racial or ethnic origin, citizenship or immigration status, religious or philosophical beliefs, union membership, health information, sex life or sexual orientation;

  • Private communications, including the contents of emails, text messages or other communications where Brill Media is not an intended recipient; and

  • Other sensitive information, including genetic data, neural data and biometric information used to uniquely identify an individual, such as fingerprints or facial recognition data.

Ordinary contact information and website activity, such as names, email addresses, IP addresses, pages visited, cookies and advertising identifiers, are generally not considered sensitive personal information solely because they are collected or used for website analytics, customer relationship management or advertising.

Brill Media does not collect, use or disclose sensitive personal information in connection with the activities covered by this Privacy Policy.

8. Retention of Personal Information

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary and proportionate to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

We retain CRM contact and lead records while reasonably necessary to manage business relationships, communicate with prospective clients and evaluate potential business opportunities. Retention is determined based on the duration of the relevant business relationship, the recency of interactions, participation in ongoing marketing or email nurture sequences and whether a contact remains a potential business opportunity.

Website tracking data and advertising information are retained based on their continuing relevance to analytics, attribution, campaign measurement, security and website operations. Website activity associated with a CRM contact may be retained according to the criteria applicable to that contact record.

For all categories of personal information, we also consider applicable legal and recordkeeping requirements, security needs and relevant contractual obligations when determining retention periods.

9. California Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable exceptions and limitations, California residents have the rights described below.

  1. Right to Know and Data Portability

You have the right to request information about our collection and use of your personal information, including the categories of personal information collected; the categories of sources from which it was collected; the business or commercial purposes for collecting, selling or sharing it; the categories of personal information disclosed for a business purpose or sold or shared; the categories of recipients to whom it was disclosed, sold or shared; and the specific pieces of personal information collected about you.

You may also request a copy of your personal information in a portable and, to the extent technically feasible, readily usable format. Upon request, we will provide information collected during the 12-month period preceding the request, unless a longer period is required by applicable law or doing so proves impossible or would involve disproportionate effort. You may request certain categories-based information up to twice in any 12-month period.

  1. Right to Delete

You have the right to request deletion of personal information we collected from you and retained, subject to applicable exceptions. We may retain information where permitted by law, including as necessary to complete transactions or provide requested services; maintain security and integrity; prevent fraud or unlawful activity; comply with legal obligations or exercise legal rights; maintain internal uses consistent with your reasonable expectations; or maintain limited records of deletion or opt-out requests.

We will direct applicable service providers and contractors to delete personal information covered by a valid, verified request, as required by applicable law.

  1. Right to Correct

You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you. We will evaluate your request based on the nature of the information, the purposes for which we process it and the circumstances, and use commercially reasonable efforts to correct verified inaccuracies as required by law. We may request documentation reasonably necessary to establish that the information is inaccurate.

  1. Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing

You have the right to direct Brill Media not to sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may exercise this right through our Opt-Out Preferences page at https://brillmedia.co/opt-out-preferences/ or by emailing privacy@brillmedia.co. You may also manage website cookie preferences through our cookie banner.

You do not need to create an account or verify your identity to submit an opt-out request, although we may request information reasonably necessary to process it. An opt-out submitted through a browser or device applies to that browser or device and any associated consumer profile, including pseudonymous profiles. Where we can associate the request with a known consumer, we will also apply it to that consumer’s personal information. You may need to renew browser-specific choices after clearing cookies or when using another browser or device.

  1. Right to Limit the Use or Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information

Under the CCPA, you have the right to limit certain uses and disclosures of your sensitive personal information. As explained in Section 7, Brill Media does not collect, use or disclose sensitive personal information in connection with the activities covered by this Privacy Policy.

  1. Right to Non-Discrimination

You have the right not to receive discriminatory or retaliatory treatment for exercising your CCPA rights. Except as permitted by law, we will not deny you services; charge different prices or rates; provide a different level or quality of services; suggest that you will receive a different price, rate, level or quality of services; or retaliate against you for exercising your rights.

10. Exercising California Privacy Rights

To submit a request to know, access, delete or correct personal information, or to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (see also Sections 9(d) and 12), contact us through:

Please provide sufficient information for us to understand and process your request.

We will confirm receipt of requests to know, delete or correct within 10 business days and generally respond to verifiable requests within 45 calendar days. We will comply with a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information as soon as feasibly possible, and no later than 15 business days after receipt, consistent with applicable CCPA regulations. Where permitted, we may extend the response period for requests to know, delete or correct by an additional 45 calendar days after providing notice and an explanation.

We generally do not charge a fee unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, as permitted by law.

11. Verification Process and Authorized Agents

Before fulfilling a request to know, access, delete or correct personal information, we may verify your identity using information maintained in our records and procedures appropriate to the nature and sensitivity of the information and the request. We may request additional information reasonably necessary for verification and may be unable to fulfill requests that cannot be verified. We do not require identity verification for opt-out requests, although we may request information necessary to process them.

You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf using the same methods described above. We may require proof of signed authorization and ask you to verify your identity and confirm the agent’s authority, unless the agent provides a valid power of attorney under California law.

12. Opt-Out Preference Signals and Global Privacy Control

Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) is a browser-based privacy setting that automatically communicates a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, including sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. GPC provides another way to exercise this choice without submitting a request through our Opt-Out Preferences page. For more information about GPC and how to enable it, please visit https://globalprivacycontrol.org.

Brill Media treats a qualifying opt-out preference signal, including a qualifying GPC signal, as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for the browser or device transmitting the signal, for any consumer profile associated with that browser or device, including pseudonymous profiles, and, where we know the consumer associated with the signal, for that consumer.

Traditional browser “Do Not Track” signals are distinct from GPC. Brill Media does not respond to traditional browser Do Not Track signals. We honor qualifying GPC signals as described above. Third-party advertising, analytics and similar technologies described in this Privacy Policy may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites or online services.

You may also submit requests to opt out of sale or sharing through our Opt-Out Preferences page at https://brillmedia.co/opt-out-preferences/ or by emailing privacy@brillmedia.co. Website cookie preferences may be managed through our website’s consent controls. Cookie preferences and GPC signals are separate from email unsubscribe requests, SMS opt-outs and requests to delete personal information.

13. Marketing Choices

Email Marketing. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link included in the message or by contacting privacy@brillmedia.co. We may continue sending necessary transactional or service-related communications.

Text Messages. You may opt out of marketing text messages by replying STOP or following the instructions in the message. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of any purchase or service.

Unsubscribing from email or SMS marketing does not, by itself, constitute a CCPA request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

14. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure, or access, but no system is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee the absolute security of personal information.

15. Children

Our sites and services are for business audiences and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 or sell or share personal information of consumers under 16. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact privacy@brillmedia.co.

16. Third-Party Sites and Services

Our websites and communications may contain links to websites, applications, platforms, or services operated by third parties. Brill Media does not control the privacy, security, or content practices of those third parties.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected independently by a third party through its own website, application, advertisement, or service. We encourage you to review the third party’s privacy notice before providing information or interacting with its services.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy by posting a revised version and changing the effective or last-updated date. We will provide any additional notice or consent required by law for material changes.
